A U.S.based company that is developing an online platform to enable content creators and audiences to build a community around them, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of owning and promoting technological leadership and comprehensive solutions in a dynamic context. The platform enables users to communicate, interact, and create entertainment for one another. The company has successfully managed to secure $33mn+ during their Series C round of funding.
**Responsibilities**:
- Build platform features in accordance with the Product Roadmap
- Work on preserving the infrastructure's scalability and availability
- Take responsibility for the project's software development activities, particularly important process stages like development, testing, and implementation
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- 3+ years of experience with mobile app development
- 3+ years of experience with Video (GStreamer) and C++
- Prior experience working on distributed systems (bare metal or Cloud-native, like AWS)
- Demonstrable experience developing lower-level software for mobile clients for both Android and iOS
- Familiarity with HLS or WebRTC or Video Codec experience (H264, HEVC, etc) is desirable
- Some prior Video Player experience is preferred
- Nice to have some knowledge of GoLang and Rust
- Possess a proactive, energetic, and can-do activity
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: $12,217.00 - $14,661.00 per hour
