**The Role**:
As Appstack's first Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building our data architecture in collaboration with the CTO. This is your chance to work alongside a high-skill team on a project with vast potential and an opportunity to learn and grow every step of the way. Your contributions will ensure scalability, reliability, and innovation from the outset.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust full-stack solutions using modern technologies and best practices.

**Tech stack**:

- Cloud: GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Compute Engine)
- Services: Vercel, NeonDB, MongoDB
- Software: Dbt, Airbyte

**Who We Are Looking For**:
Collaborate with the CTO to prioritize and execute the product roadmap.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven track record in Data Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years of experience.
- Establish and maintain a centralized data infrastructure.
- Develop and implement transformation pipelines.
- Work hand-in-hand with the platform team to enable new features on the platform.
- Promote best practices, including:

- Infrastructure as code
- CI/CD pipelines
- Robust testing strategies

**Technical Skills**:

- Expertise in SQL and Python.
- Past experience with data warehouse solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) and transformation tools (e.g., Dbt).
- Familiarity with data ingestion tools such as Airbyte or Fivetran
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes
- Knowledge of Typescript / Javascript with frontend knowledge (e.g., React) would be a plus.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong communication skills are required, as this role involves close collaboration with the CEO, CTO, and platform team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Proactive mindset
- English is the first language at Appstack
