**The Work You'll Do**:
As a Senior QA Engineer at Sovos, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring quality in our global tax compliance solutions. You'll have the opportunity to train others, master the business logic for one product, and expand your knowledge across our product suite. In this role, you'll demonstrate deep understanding of our quality, development and deployment processes while aligning to Sovos Best Practices. This position offers significant opportunity to showcase your leadership and mentoring skills while working with teams across multiple time zones and regions.
- More specifically, you will:_

- Share learnings in an engaging way and recognize when and how to share knowledge globally across our international teams
- Focus on coaching and mentoring while effectively delegating to team members as needed
- Contribute to the most complex software delivery projects across our global product portfolio
- Facilitate larger-scale initiatives to build out and improve our build automation and continuous integration
- Participate and collaborate on Class 1/2 issues with cross-functional teams
- Visualize the full picture and provide impact analysis to the team
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for multiple modules in our products
- Automate test cases/suites quickly and suggest improvements on automated tools or processes
- Build automation projects from scratch and participate as repo owner on automation projects
- Mentor team members and support other QA engineers through monitoring and assistance
- Connect with other Product and Technology teams to initiate changes that improve QA involvement
- Maintain strong knowledge of Sovos Core Values and Global QA Practices to support other QAs
- Introduce changes to Global QA Practices and communicate with impact to foster collaboration
- Support team decisions and share responsibility for successes and failures

**What We Need From You**

- Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5-8 years of QA engineering experience
- Strong English communication skills
- Experience with K6 and/or Robot Framework
- Experience with Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
- Azure Devops knowledge is a plus
- Experience using AI tools such as Github Copilot, Cursor, etc.
- Knowledge of global software functionality and international compliance requirements
- Capability to identify technical improvements on QA procedures and suggest enhancements
- Strong ability to manage complexity and demonstrate resiliency to stress and tight timelines
- Skills to anticipate obstacles that may impact other products and teams
- Change agent mindset with ability to facilitate implementation and acceptance of workplace changes
- Commitment to goals despite obstacles and frustrations
- Adaptability to work within new structures, processes, and requirements across different regions
- Dedication to building effective teams through trust, healthy conflict resolution, and accountability
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across time zones and cultures
