New Business Initiatives Approvals Advisory

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Control Management (CM) maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.

This position, which will be part of the Corporate & Investment Bank Control Management, is responsible for supporting the New Business Initiative Approval (NBIA) and Product Service Change Management (P/S CM) Programs; established to provide a consistent framework to assess risks of new products, services and businesses before they are launched. The position entails overseeing a portfolio of new initiatives in the NBIA Program, ensuring they are being properly risk-assessed in a manner that supports the business’ commercial priorities and functions’ control considerations.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Advisory: Provide guidance on the end-to-end execution of the NBIA and P/S CM processes
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Business/Product Managers to triage any issues that may arise in course of risk assessments
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor Program metrics to identify key themes and trends emerging across portfolios
- Strategy: Identify opportunities to enhance NBIA experience from a reporting, governance, training, process and/or technology perspective; partner with NBIA team to design and implement strategy
- Support the execution of Quality Control for Product/Service Change Management (P/S CM) process, including review of initiatives, testing strategies and reporting results in partnership with the P /S CM team

**Key Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 1-3 years work experience in financial services or management consulting
- Capacity to learn quickly
- Ability to work easily and effectively with people at all levels of organization
- Ability to articulate complex ideas simply
- Strong analytical, deductive reasoning and problem solving skills
- Good Excel skills
