External Communications Senior Associate **Job Description**: Title External Communications - Senior Associate Description The general purpose of this role is to support Communications Area in the implementation and execution the external communications strategic plans in alignment with in-market, regional and global priorities. Main Duties - To assist Corporate Communications Manager in the execution of Pfizer’s Communications Strategic Plan. - To work collaboratively and support the different therapeutic and enabling areas so as to increase their external visibility. - To help develop external activities so as to raise awareness on company´s key topics. - To help develop and implement Social Media Strategy, providing feedback and analysis of audiences’ engagement. - To maintain a calendar that identifies communications opportunities along the year and help execute the plan on a timely manner. - To provide support to External Communications Team regarding administrative duties. - To identify and analyze trends and patterns and work closely with Business Units to prioritize business needs. - To maintain positive communication with internal and external stakeholders so as to improve confidence and perception regarding Communications Area. - To assist with crisis and issue management plan when necessary - To help prepare and accompany spokespeople in media interviews, including developing of brief documents and Q&As. - To monitor news and trends in order to provide feedback on positive scenarios and risks and leverage emerging issues. - To help manage workflow within PR agencies, including reporting. - To help coordinate media inquiries and responses, partnering with Media Relations Teams General Expectations In carrying out above activities, the External Communications Senior Associate will: - Seek to improve his/her own performance, contribution, knowledge and skills; - Keep abreast of relevant development in communication topics in the market; - Be responsible for ensuring good practice and compliance with all Pfizer policies. Minimum qualifications - Communications/Public Relations Professional or equivalent practical experience +3 years - Media Relations and/or Crisis Management Experience - Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. - Proficiency using Social Media. - Ability to write, edit and proof content in a smart and compelling way. - Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically. - Excellent Interpersonal and teamwork skills. - Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams. - Strong attention to details. - Ability to execute activities on tight deadlines. - Firm compliance with processes and procedures.
