Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.

We are looking for a **Head of Development** to join out team

**Your responsibilities**:
- Overall responsibility for engineering and development activities across the business.
- Ensure that engineering strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs.
- Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information.
- Complete regular performance reviews.
- Scope out well-defined career paths and growth opportunities for every engineer.
- Build and maintain a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration.
- Totally responsible of the development team (developers and lead developers), following the clearly defined development processes, assuring software quality, client and teamwork satisfaction. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of build design, from contract award to maintenance.
- Finish projects in due time, with technical and functional specifications committed and according to the approved budget.
- Keep the client and Board of Directors informed about the project advance and problems whether real or potential that may arise.
- Request each functional area, in the appropriate time, the necessary resources to carry out the project and release them when they are no longer requested.
- Collaborate making the project advance follow-up daily, monitoring priority tasks and problems closer.
- Carry on with the established procedures and supervise that the members of the team do it as well.
- Keep updated and take care of the required information of the project.
- Support and motivate team members, helping them solve any problem. Take care not to demand too much over a long period of time.
- Optimize the use of resources. Coordinate all stockholders involved in the project and coordinate especially Design, Development and Integration & Testing teams.
- Identify new business opportunities taking advantage of the close relationship with the client and let them know to the Commercial Department**Your profile**:
- Relevant experience coordinating team’s tasks in Tech projects.
- Technical background in C# development.
- Knowledge and experience on Microservices, Containers is a plus.
- Agile methodologies Scrum/Kanban (relevant experience defining detailed processes). SaFe is a plus.
- Scrum Master certification / SaFe / PMI is a plus.
- Advanced level of English language.
- Systems/Information Technology University (graduated or student) or equivalent experience.**Our offer to you**:
