Contribute to the improvement and strengthening of evaporation pond models, based on historical data, new sampling strategies and implementation of simulation tools. Actively participate in the resolution of problems related to quality, receiving adequate support from the rest of the functions for the performance of the position. Identify, evaluate, and analyze the feasibility of implementing new industry-specific separation, purification and measurements technologies. Work closely with Subject Matter Experts from key functions like Process Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production. Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of Li-industry problems and clarify objectives. Actively participates in the resolution of related quality issues receiving the suitable support from the rest of the functions to perform the role. Conference calls or meetings outside of regular working hours to accommodate people in different time zones. Travel is expected to regularly visit the operation in Olaroz The Olaroz Lithium facility is in Jujuy Province in northern Argentina. The operations are at an altitude of 3,900 meters above sea level and produce lithium carbonate from the Salar de Olaroz brine resources which contains high concentration of lithium and potash brine. The facility is supported by favorable conditions in terms of both the operating environment and local infrastructure. Very limited rainfall combined with dry, windy conditions enhances the brine-evaporation process. The processing method begins with the extraction of lithium-rich brine from bore field drilled on the salar. The brine is then transferred to a series of evaporation ponds which utilize solar radiation and wind for evaporation and concentration along with a precipitation process to remove impurities. The concentrated brine is then fed into the lithium carbonate plant which precipitates, filters and dries the finished high-quality lithium carbonate product. The main purpose of the role is to research into the most relevant problems of the lithium concentration through brine evaporation in ponds as well as novel technological approaches, which should be well comprehended to make appropriate technical and operational decisions.

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering oriented to research, or equivalent technical degree. Advance English Leve 2 years experience in R&D or process Engineer
