Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Amazon EMR Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data processing solutions using Amazon EMR (Elastic MapReduce for big data workloads. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that support our data-driven initiatives.
**Requirements**:
Design, implement, and maintain data processing frameworks using Amazon EMR and related AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB.
Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data processing workloads.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders to define and implement data pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data processing, performance, and resource management.
Implement best practices for security, governance, and monitoring of data pipelines and infrastructure.
Stay up to date with new features and capabilities of Amazon EMR and other AWS tools to continuously improve solutions.
** Required Skills and Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience working with Amazon EMR or similar big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark.
Strong hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem, including S3, EC2, Lambda, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline orchestration.
Expertise in managing and optimizing large-scale distributed systems and data storage solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security best practices, and cost management.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty.
Experience with machine learning and AI frameworks in a big data environment.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with data visualization tools and platforms.
