**Position Type / Nature**

Permanent Remote Contractor (Direct Hire)

This is a fully remote, direct contractor position intended as a permanent role within our team. While you will join as an independent contractor (not as a formal employee), this is not a temporary or project-based job—we seek someone to join us long term, contributing consistently to the firm’s success. All work is performed remotely, with ongoing workload and job stability.

**Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Statement Audits and Reviews**
- Lead and supervise financial audits and reviews in accordance with GAAP, SSARS, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Review financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness, including appropriate disclosures.
- Guide and support auditors by reviewing their work and providing technical feedback.
- Identify financial risks, control deficiencies, and reporting discrepancies, and provide recommendations to clients.
- Ensure workpapers and audit documentation meet professional standards and firm policies.
- Coordinate audit fieldwork and ensure timely delivery of reports.
- Fully remote: work from anywhere in Latin America with reliable internet and work hours aligned to U.S. Eastern/Central time zones.
- No onsite or office attendance required; all communications, team meetings, and client engagements are conducted virtually.

**Client Advisory and Relationship Management**
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Communicate audit findings and financial statement review results clearly and professionally.
- Offer recommendations to improve financial reporting and regulatory compliance processes.
- Collaborate with startups and growing companies to ensure investor-ready financial statements and scalable accounting practices.

**Required Qualifications**
- Must be fluent in English.
- Certification: CPA required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial auditing, including audits and reviews of financial statements.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SSARS, and international auditing standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple audit projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines.
- Proficiency with Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and audit/accounting software.
- Ability to analyze financial statements, assess risk, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising, training, and motivating audit teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client care and satisfaction.
- Strong curiosity and a proactive mindset; seeks to understand deeply and ask thoughtful questions.
