The Opportunity
The DSP ASIC Engineer will be part of a team that researches signal-processing algorithms and architectures, develops VLSI digital circuits, creates software for modeling and verification, and produces firmware that runs on embedded processors. As a team member, the engineer will collaborate to successfully deliver inhouse DSP processors for next-generation coherent optical transceivers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand optical communication systems requirements.
- Engineer best signal processing solution and translate them to digital architectures.
- Provide C++ high-level model and HDL (Verilog) source code.
- Run functional verification regressions.
- Verify the integrity of the physical design.
- Write thorough documentation.
- Give effective engineering presentations.
**Requirements**:
- Degree in engineering: Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications.
- Understanding of C, C++, Verilog and Python programming.
- Basic English communication skills.
