**An architect at MuleSoft is someone who knows all the technical details to enlighten others and goes beyond of duties to do the right thing for the product, company and customers. The Architect is someone who can build a vision for a project technically challenging and be able to transmit it to all kinds of audiences.

**Position Details**:

- Always have an opinion on a software architecture, design, and standard methodologies and can communicate it constructively and articulately to teammates, management, and our users (through blog articles and forum postings)
- Passion for building great software that is reflected in the code, tests, writing, and speech
- Understand great software is judged by the user, will learn how our products are used by others and find ways to improve it
- Amaze everybody with technical knowledge and ability to motivate a team to technical excellence

**Responsibilities**:

- Play a lead role within Sophisticated Portals initiative.
- Maintain strong hands-on skills with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and stay ahead of on MuleSoft products, strategies, and good practices by maintaining relationships with the MuleSoft product teams, interacting regularly with the overall MuleSoft community, and proactively pursuing training opportunities as needed
- Engage on engineering projects as a trusted advisor and architect to address Product Management requests and make architecture recommendations.
- Help handle the technical scope on engagements to prevent scope creep and deviation from plan.
- Follow good practices and project guidelines in all cases including the use of source code control, continuous integration and deployment, test driven development, and proper documentation practices
- Continue to develop professional and technical knowledge by working with other team members, attending workshops and webinars, reading industry publications, and participating in technology communities

**Required Skills**:

- A minimum of 10 years leading technology teams in development efforts that are governed by timeline, scope, and budget
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on-experience architecting and delivering solutions related to enterprise integration, REST-full APIs, service-oriented architecture, and legacy modernization
- Ability to translate business requirements into a comprehensive, well-formed technical design
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems quickly. Ability to methodically step through problems to understand where the problem originates and how to best resolve it
- Understanding of architectural concepts for MuleSoft implementations including encryption, security, logging, throttling, scalability, clustering, and security
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools such as Maven and Jenkins.Experience working with version control systems such as Git and Subversion.
- Competency within UNIX environments for general troubleshooting and OS navigation
- Strong understanding of common business processes that will be the foundation of many solutions
- Understanding of project priorities, timelines, budget, and work you're doing and the need to proactively push yourself and others to achieve project goals
- Ability to take “total ownership” of assignments to resolve issues and drive them to completion

**Desired Skills**:

- MuleSoft Certifications
- Experience working within Agile methodology frameworks
- Scrum and/or Kanban knowledge/experience a plus
- Exposure to MDM, ETL, and ELT
- Exposure to other integration platforms such as Dell Boomi, WSO2, Informatica, Tibco, Jitterbit, Cast Iron, WebMethods, Oracle SOA Suite, etc.
- Exposure to workflow engines.

- Clear, effective, and timely communication with Product Management, team members, and OCTO team.
- Ability to contribute to team and project success by developing innovative, reusable, and flexible solutions
- Strong attention to detail around business process design and process improvement
- Sense of pride in all interaction and deliverable with client and team members
