Head of IT

- Engage with partners to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Operate in an objective and key results (OKR) based business operating model.
- Ability to lead multiple teams of engineers developing web, mobile and back-office software components.
- Lead all aspects of development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs.
- Develop feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Use Agile Methodology to develop, track, and deliver solutions.
- Ensure all business systems, IT systems and partner platforms in place to support the business and that the technical design accurately represents the business requirements.
- Provide oversight, knowledge, and support to IT staff across the lifecycle of IT projects.
- Lead financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Negotiate and coordinate vendor, outsourced, and consultant contracts, plus service agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field; Master’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
- 10 years as an IT leader, preferably in a corporate regulated context navigating evolving projects from start to finish in a team-oriented environment.
- NET/Java development experience, leveraging frameworks (spring, angular, etc )
- Demonstrated ability leading a development team and/or responsible for development process/project management.
- Deep understanding of the software development process from multiple perspectives.
- Understanding of UX design, including design thinking approaches.
- Proven success in project management and execution with involvement in multiple major projects or a sustained record of success delivering complex IT services to a diverse capability landscape.
- Entrepreneurial approach and ability to adapt to changing business priorities.
