At ERM Argentina, we are in search of a Energy & Carbon Senior Consultiantto join our operation at our office in Buenos Aires.
Skills and qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, economics, or other relevant discipline- Several years of experience in the energy sector and/or consultancy or another relevant field- Keen interest in sustainability and low carbon energy- Strong numeracy skills and structured approach to and appetite for problem-solving- Technical ability combined with commercial acumen- Strong writer and ability to translate complex issues into concise, relevant stories- Have good inter-personal skills, engagement skills and ability to facilitate participation from others- IT literate and competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint- Fluent in English and in Spanish- Programming skills (Python, GIS, R) are advantageous.- Significant experience in one of the following sectors is advantageous: hydrogen and fuel cells, industrial decarbonization, CCUS, transport, energy networks, smart energy systems, low carbon fuels and chemicals, biomass conversion, life cycle analysis
Tasks to be carried out- Managing multiple simultaneous projects effectively and guiding CL1s to produce high quality work.- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.- Contributing to work winning through the preparation of tender responses and bringing in new project opportunities through contacts and wider networking.- Researching technologies, markets or concepts through literature search and conversations with external experts.- Quantitative analysis of systems and technologies in Excel or other software, including building techno-economic models.- Compiling strategic briefing documents, reports, and presentations for project meetings and publications.- Developing ways to communicate the results of projects to technical and non-technical audiences.
