Finance Operations Specialist: Revenue Accounting

**PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES**

The Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) belongs to one of the main pillars of Global Finance which is Global Finance Infrastructure. And the GFSS service delivery model allows SAP to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness as well as quality of the finance processes while delivering global end-to-end process standards. Within GFSS, the Revenue Accounting COE (Center of Expertise) members are experienced Accountants that proactively and collectively perform the tasks they are assigned to for a number of countries. Being part of GFSS, COE members are responsible to deliver the best quality services to all internal customers supported by the organization.

This role reports to the Revenue Accounting COE PoC (Percentage-of-Completion) manager working within a virtual global team with the other COE members.

**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**

As a member of the GFSS, you will be able to accelerate your accounting profession to the next level by focusing on the dedicated process group that you would be assigned to. In addition, this role offers many development opportunities on other skills and competencies that will help you shape your future career path as you engaged in activities such as global projects, process improvement initiatives, standardization initiatives, etc., alongside with your core responsibilities. We are looking for a Revenue Accounting COE member responsible for **Percentage-of-Completion** workstream contracts responsible for NA/LatAm company codes that requires working in the BUE time zone.

**WHAT YOU**’**LL DO**
- Responsible for providing financial reporting data based on IFRS15 Group financial rules in a timely manner (month end, quarter end and year end closings).
- Verify and monitor correctness of revenue accounting relevant data.
- Manage relationship and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction within GFSS and with CFR, Revenue Recognition, LCAs, Controllers and other internal service providers or global functions.
- Monitor the assigned entities meet full internal and external audit requirements including SOX controls.
- Participate and support in projects and contribute to process improvement ideas and initiatives.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of IFRS15 or similar accounting rules and principles is preferred.
- Specialized Revenue Accounting knowledge and experience is an advantage.
- Dynamic and innovative in problem identification, solution formulation and resolution.
- Eager to work in an international environment.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP system, especially FI/CO module is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Excel.

**WORK EXPERIENCE**
- Professionally Qualified Accountant.
- At least 2 years of practical accounting experience (accounting function in company or audit firm).
