The Role In particular, Provisioning and Deployment SREs own the provisioning and deployment of different products and their infrastructure stack at Medallia, and ensure that they continue to scale with our rapidly-growing business. We are constantly growing our footprint to meet and exceed the demands in multiple geographical regions. Most of our products operate in Kubernetes environments. We are currently seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer skilled in Python to join our Provisioning and Deployment team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable automation solutions and systems that enhance productivity and efficiency. These systems are integral to our capability to advance our industry-leading SaaS platform. Please note, that this role will require being on a rotating on-call shift which includes being available during evenings, weekends, and holidays when scheduled. **Responsibilities**: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using PythonDevelop and implement new functionality that is essential for orchestrating the complex rollout of Medallia Experience Cloud releases into environments across multiple data centers and geographic regionsMaintain and improve the systems used to deploy, scale, and operate databases dynamicallyWork closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide automation solutionsMentor and guide junior developers and engineers in best practices for Python and automation developmentPartner with the database administration team to understand requirements and use casesEnsure observability of our deployment stack to achieve and maintain proper alerting and monitoringBe part of the SRE team's on-call rotation for escalations **Qualifications**: Minimum Qualifications BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field5+ years of engineering experience working on distributed systems or operations engineering5 years of Python experienceFamiliarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Demonstrated understanding of software fundamentals, development processes, and best practicesDemonstrated fluency in English, both verbal and writtenAbility to be part of the team's on-call rotation Preferred Qualifications Experience operating Postgres databasesExperience in Bash and GolangExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience working with a distributed teamAbility to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environmentSystem troubleshooting skills At Medallia, we celebrate diversity and recognize the value it brings to our customers and employees.
