**A Hybrid working model**

Once offices are fully open we will be moving to a hybrid working model, which will allow our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. **The Role**:
The Lead Mechanical Artist is responsible for localising print mechanicals. They will develop accurate and high-quality artwork for production assignments to incorporate in final layout.
They will need to be able to work in a high paced environment with tight deadlines whilst still delivering work to the highest standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for building and prepping print and digital mechanical files for release to production using Adobe Creative Suite software
- While honoring the design intent as much as possible, the mechanical artist will be responsible for the iteration and versioning of localized and original artwork files, solving for unique re-formatting needs as required
- Manage and lead the workflow of a team or studio of mechanical artists
- Confidence in working directly with client in the planning and approvals of Channel marketing materials
- Inspire and proactively strive to get the best out of each team member, offer coaching and new opportunities to expand skill-sets
- Oversee communications with account service and print production teams and resolve any problems with artwork that may arise
- Proactively identify opportunities for process and tool development and for more efficient ways of working, socialize findings and proposals and work with stakeholders to implement changes
- Collate and dispatch all materials required for printers and/or client
- Act as a brand QC/Guardian - always ensure brand guidelines, QC checklists and procedures are followed.
- Manages a high-volume workload, including foreign language versions, if required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience providing production support (print and digital) to art directors and designers within an in-house creative team or studio.
- Diploma/Degree in packaging, printing technology, graphics arts.
- Well versed in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Good knowledge of print, color retouching, and digital artwork production.
- A good team player and able to work accurately under pressure and be committed to regularly updating skills through training.
- Proficiency in OS & iOS software.
- Able to adhere to a consistent graphic production and checking process, while also identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude.
- A keen design sensibility with confidence in both adaptation and creation of work
- Ability to work in a fast paced creative and production environment.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Advanced English speaker.
