A Day in the Life

The Product Specialist at Medtronic is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and management of marketing and sales strategies for a specific product line. This role requires a deep understanding of the market, products and customer needs, as well as the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure commercial success of products.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement product launch strategies and marketing plans.
- Analyze the market, competition and trends to identify opportunities and threats.
- Monitor the product life cycle, including development, market introduction, growth, maturity and decline.
- Continually evaluate and adjust product strategies based on performance and market feedback.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to improve and update products according to market needs.
- Identify and develop new markets and business opportunities. Implement strategies to expand product presence in existing and new markets.
- Evaluate market potential and develop plans to maximize penetration and growth.
- Collect and analyze market intelligence data to inform strategic decisions.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

- Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Marketing or a related field. A Master graduate degree is desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a product specialist or sales or product management experience in the medical device industry or health-related field.
- Experience in critical patient and ward rooms
- Experience in making forecast desirable
- Intermediate English level desirable.
