**Responsibilities**:
**Who are you?**

Software Engineer II performs activities independently and under the supervision of a mentor. They will investigate, troubleshoot, and work on various types of tasks and enhancements as they learn the ins and outs of the platform, our tech stack, the tools we use, and our passion to learn more. Software Engineers independently work with our clients, integrating, implementing, and troubleshooting requests. They attend technical kick-offs and provide the necessary information and support to our prospective clients. Since our team is working on client-facing requests, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

**In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following**:

- Develop software and defect resolution independently from other team members
- Design, code, and test new platform components, features, and enhancements for our web and/or mobile platforms (Swift/Java/Kotlin)
- Triage incoming bugs and production incidents
- Perform technical operation tasks including enhancing monitoring capabilities
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across our platform
- Participation in sprint grooming, planning, and kick-off to help estimate stories, raise awareness and additional implementation details
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Help monitor areas of production system and raise awareness to team when issues arise
- Single Sign-On setups, meetings, and live calls with existing and prospective partners and clients
- Support both new customer implementations, as well as delivery of any required updates for existing customers
- Coordinating with other engineers and team members to ensure everything is completed on schedule
- Identify potential issues, troubleshoot, and integrate possible solutions
- Team’s technical escalation resource
- Daily monitoring, reporting, and maintaining the health and availability of business-critical systems
- Ensure everything is properly documented in up-to-date Knowledge Base Articles
- Attend daily team meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned

- BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (strong client facing communication skills (English) are required)
- 2+ years of experience in similar or technical roles
- 2+ years of SW development role
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and a solid grasp of object-oriented programming
- Experience developing services and APIs
- A solid understanding of best practices for software development including testing, monitoring, and design
- Ability to articulate and champion design strategies related to scalability, maintainability, performance, security, and usability
- Strong communication skills, openness to collaborate, and enthusiasm to deliver as a part of a team
- An ability to contribute to a technical discussion and the openness to listen and learn from your peers
- Unit Testing, and how to write a good unit test
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/XML/JSON syntax
- Basic knowledge of Javascript
- Knowledge of SQL
- API (RestAPI)
- Single Sign-On (SAML/OAuth)
- Knowledge of tools we use in our day-to-day work is highly desireable:

- Agile Methodologies and Agile tools:

- JIRA, Confluence
- Knowledge of IAM solutions (identity access management solutions such as Keycloak, Okta, Ping Identity, Azure, ADFS, etc.)
- New Relic, Kibana, OpenSearch
