Platform Architect

As a Platform Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical foundation of our cybersecurity SaaS platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a scalable, reliable, and secure platform architecture that supports the development, deployment, and operation of our products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software architecture principles, as well as a passion for creating elegant and efficient solutions to complex technical challenges.

Role & Responsibilities

Platform Architecture Design:

- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools for the platform, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Create and maintain architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to communicate the platform design to stakeholders.

Platform Engineering:

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needs and supports efficient development and deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain core platform components and services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve platform issues.

Scalability and Performance Optimization:

- Design and implement strategies to ensure the platform can scale to meet growing demand.
- Optimize platform performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and techniques to improve scalability and performance.

Security and Compliance:

- Implement robust security measures to protect the platform and its data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
- Conduct regular security reviews and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Collaboration and Leadership:

- Collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure the platform aligns with overall company goals and objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to other engineers on platform architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.

Minimum qualifications

**Experience**:

- 7+ years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure architecture.
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

**Skills**:

- Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
- Expertise in network protocols, security protocols, and system administration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
