**About the Role**:
Were looking for a **Senior Data Scientist** with strong expertise in **optimization modeling** to join a high-impact retail project. You'll help design, build, and test AI/ML-driven prototypes that support advanced pricing decisions and demand forecasting.

Your deep understanding of **operations research, optimization algorithms, and price elasticity modeling** will be key in solving real-world challenges for large-scale retail and CPG companies.

**What Youll Be Doing**:

- Process and analyze structured and unstructured retail data to uncover trends and business insights.
- Design and implement advanced **price optimization models** using techniques like linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and custom solvers.
- Build AI/ML prototypes and POCs that solve complex pricing and planning challenges.
- Present insights through effective data visualization and storytelling.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to productionize optimization models at scale.

**What You Bring**:

- Bachelors degree or higher in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in retail or CPG, with a proven track record in **optimization for pricing and demand planning**.
- Strong command of **optimization libraries in Python** such as Pyomo, PuLP, or similar.
- Experience in developing and refining optimization models for real-world use cases.
- Deep understanding of **price elasticity**, demand forecasting, and analytical modeling.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, OOP) and SQL.
- Solid experience in prototyping, testing, and iterating on models in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate optimization strategies and data insights to both technical and business audiences.
- Familiarity with scalable cloud environments and distributed systems.

**Nice to Have**:

- Knowledge of scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NumPy.
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Databricks, or similar big data platforms.
- UI prototyping using Flask, Plotly, or Streamlit.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
