We are looking for a proactive Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our customer's Internal Delivery team. You will be responsible for data center migrations, fiber installations, and network capacity expansions. A strong technical background in using CLI on Cisco routers and expertise in network infrastructure projects is essential for this role.
**Areas of Responsibility**:
- Network Implementation and Maintenance:
- Execute data center migrations and customer circuit upgrades efficiently
- Coordinate with third-party providers to ensure successful fiber installations for network expansion
- Collaborate with field technicians to patch and maintain fiber connections in data centers
- Incident Management and Escalations:
- Lead and resolve high-impact escalations related to infrastructure issues
- Manage critical infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- Network Configuration and Troubleshooting:
- Use CLI on Cisco routers for network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Ensure optimal network performance through proactive monitoring and adjustments
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to meet project milestones
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure seamless project execution
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in network infrastructure projects, including data center migrations and fiber installations
- Proficiency in using CLI on Cisco routers for configuration and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and configurations (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional coordination
**Will be an advantage**:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
- Experience with other network equipment and technologies (e.g., Juniper, Nokia)
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
