We are looking for a **Fraud Analyst** to be based in our offices in Buenos Aires.
**Job duties and Responsibilities**:
As a Fraud Analyst you will review transactional data and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks, to ensure a safe and stable payment network for all PayRetailers Merchants and their respective customers.
- Review and remediate transaction monitoring alerts.
- Analyse user documentation to verify consistency with their transactional behaviour.
- Manage chargebacks and other payment disputes, gathering supporting evidence and processing written correspondence to recover funds for PayRetailers’ Merchants.
- Monitor fraud rates and take necessary actions to keep them within acceptable thresholds.
- Proactively suggest system improvements to prevent fraudulent transactions and optimize existing fraud management processes.
- Analyze fraud patterns and develop new fraud detection rules.
- Provide support and advice to other internal departments on fraud related matters.
- Conduct fraud investigations upon Merchant request.
- Create SQL queries for fraud monitoring.
- Create fraud data reports ad-hoc.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Proficiency in English and Spanish are a must (at least B2 level).
- Proficient with SQL and experience exploring databases.
- Advanced level of Excel.
- Previous experience working in the Payments Industry is a plus.
- Good understanding of fraud metrics and patterns.
- Familiarity with customer support systems and practices.
- Proactivity and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze information, think through difficult problems, and make critical decisions based on limited information.
- Availability to work from 8h to 17h from Monday to Friday
