Intern Mentor

**Start and end date**: Monday, May 5, to Friday, August 1, 2025

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Manage a cohort of up to 15 intern mentees** during the internship program and help the student interns to navigate the professional experience and to resolve any internship-related issues that arise.
- **Facilitate three internship oversight meetings for each intern mentee** and his or her internship supervisor at the company where the student is interning: in-person initial meeting, in-person mid-internship meeting, virtual closing meeting.
- **Conduct a virtual meet and greet meeting with each intern mentee** prior to the program start date to define objectives for their internship experience, and **conduct an internship pulse check meeting** to touch base individually with each intern mentee.
- **Schedule the previously mentioned meetings** with each intern mentee and his or her internship supervisor.
- **Send program evaluation** **forms** for each intern mentee and for their internship supervisors and follow up as needed.
- **Participate in weekly meetings with the Puentes team** to review student issues and program updates.
- **Attend an in-person orientation seminar** for the students upon their arrival to Buenos Aires to get to know the intern cohort in person and to set the tone for the program.
- **Attend two in-person program activities** in June or July to interact with the entire intern cohort.

- **General profile**:We are seeking **go-getters** with **high executive function** who have **strong problem-solving abilities**, empathetic thoughtfulness, professional tact, and skill at facilitating reflective conversations. You should be **highly professional and personable**, and you should thoroughly enjoy connecting with diverse people in meaningful ways.
- **Mentoring know-how**: The Intern Mentor role is focused on helping undergraduate students from U.S. universities to navigate an eight-week professional work experience with an Argentine company. Thus, **we are looking for people who know how to help young professionals reflect, learn, and thrive** by giving them the resources and guidance needed for success, as well as the autonomy necessary for growth and empowerment.
- **Language: Fluency in English and Spanish** is essential because in-person and virtual meetings will be conducted in both languages, and written communication will also be in both English and Spanish.
- **Availability**: During the month of May, we will conduct several onboarding and training sessions prior to the start of the internship program. The students will be in Buenos Aires from Thursday, May 29, to Saturday, July 26, during which time the internship oversight will take place. The Intern Mentor position has flexible hours that will be scheduled around the internship oversight meetings, reporting, and ongoing intern mentee support.

The Intern Mentor collaborates with the larger Puentes team in Buenos Aires to help students have overall positive experiences in the internship program; however, the Intern Mentor is responsible for 24/7 emergency support or general on-site support for the students, since these areas are managed by the Puentes On-Site Support team.
