**Regulatory Science Biotech Lead ConoSur**

**Your Purpose**:

- Be responsible for Bayer´s regulatory approvals of agricultural biotechnology-derived products by coordinating dossier submissions and answers to the regulatory agencies in ConoSur countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay). Be accountable for granting Bayer stakeholders´ license to operate for planting regulated materials for experimental and production purposes in ConoSur countries_

**Your mission will be to**
- Define and implement the Global Regulatory strategy plan in ConoSur to accomplish commercial biotech products launches by coordinating the preparation and submission of high quality dossiers in accordance with the country-specific regulatory legislation in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. Manage the Q&A flow with the agencies. Prepare solid scientific-regulatory arguments for positioning, answering, and speeding-up approvals.
- Develop the strategy plan, coordinate and lead the submissions and approvals of permits for conducting field trials with regulated materials, as well as those permits necessary for winter productions. Look for continuous improvements and coordinate their implementation in field permits processes.
- Work with an Operative Excellence and Digital Transformation mindset. Innovate in key processes, by adopting IT tools and digital platforms. Contribute to the Team´s Management System to improve team deliverables in the short and long term. Generate and keep updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), working instructions, process maps and Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) to keep time track of activities and result completion. Grant and leverage Team´s operations by implementing digital Transformations.
- Carry out activities to develop Regulatory Intelligence, to anticipate changes, delays or interferences in regulatory approvals for commercial and imports dossiers and/or field permits. Contribute to the development of solid and mature Regulatory Frameworks in the region by and creating, fostering and influencing through trust based relationship with Regulators and key contacts. Understand, analyze and communicate to stakeholders changes in the regulatory framework that can have an impact on stakeholders´ license to operate.
- Be the focal point and key contact from ConoSur Regulatory Science on reference materials and detection methods for OVGM’s all along the life cycle of a product (from early development of new traits to value capture of commercial technologies).
- Articulate a meaningful annual plan to align individual development goals of each team member with business goals to achieve sustainable high quality results while developing people. Challenge and develop individual contributors´ skills to create a flexible and adaptable Team deeply connected with the business needs and environment.

**Unlock your potential**:

- Bachelor degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Agronomy, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Genetics or related fields.
- Proven solid scientific and technical background in aforementioned fields.
- Master/PhD degree is a plus.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the Seed Industry and Regulatory Sciences.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory seed laws and requirements in ConoSur countries.
- Strong written & oral communication skills (Spanish and English).
- Coordination and planning skills.
- Results orientation and Agility to address team´s goals in a timely manner.
