**ORGANIZATION AND PROGRAM PROFILE** **DELTERRA** **BEHAVIOR CHANGE SCALING ASSOCIATE, ARGENTINA** **ORGANIZATION AND PROGRAM PROFILE** Our program has three major components, aimed at overcoming the vicious cycle of poor supply and inadequate demand for recycled material that plagues most cities today: - We improve supply of recyclable waste at the source through better design of collection systems and behavioral nudges. - We build community recycling systems that drive cost efficiency and ethical operations in sorting, logistics, and processing of recyclable waste. - We work to stabilize recycling demand and unlock better pricing by streamlining and bringing transparency to the full recycling value chain. Our goal is to create a replicable model for managing waste that cities around the world will adopt. The Behavior Change Associate who will join the Scaling Team will be working together with cities to enable the scaling of our Argentina and future Latin America programs. The role will require a high degree of entrepreneurialism, a strong can-do mentality, a highly proactive approach and excellent cultural and behavioral insights analysis skills. Specific responsibilities for the Behavior Change Scaling Associate are outlined below: - Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to gather relevant and valuable insights and design principles to develop robust and measurable behavior change strategies for citizens and big generators for increasing source separation - Collaborate with cities across Argentina to help them implement the greatest levers identified, through an analysis of opportunities and the development of implementation road maps and blueprints - Track KPIs and reporting - Codify behavioral design best-practices and document implemented strategies that we can scale across Argentina and Latin America based on our existing programs and best practices nationally and globally - Communicate and coordinate regularly with team members across Argentina and Indonesia to share learnings, raise and address issues, and ensure consistent messaging across the organization The Behavior Change Scaling Associate will report to the Behavior Change Lead. As we are a young and rapidly growing non-profit, there will be opportunities to grow within the organization as we expand our scope and scale beyond our current pilot locations. **QUALIFICATIONS** - +1 year of work experience in high performing and diverse teams to deliver complex projects with diverse stakeholders, including implementation and transformations - Solid research skills and experience**. **Knowledgeable in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and tools. Experience in fieldwork coordination and insightful analysis of research findings - Cultural analysis to interpret community's needs and expectations. Practical experience in designing with research findings and empathy. Well-structured and clear thinking process - Experience with service design tools: service mapping, strategic proposal techniques (e.g., service blueprints, value proposition definition and concept design), prototyping solutions (e.g., customer journeys, service design blueprints, storyboards, roleplay) - Solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset with the ability to remain positive in the face of setbacks and unexpected challenges - Ability to thrive in "build the plane as you fly it" environments: comfortable managing the ambiguity and risks inherent to innovation; adapting to the situation at hand, helping teams prioritize dynamically based on new information; staying positive and creative in the face of setbacks and driving rapid progress - Minimum a Bachelor Education in Social Sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Communications), Behavioral Sciences, Behavioral Psychology, and/or relevant fields - Native fluency in Spanish and professional fluency in English - Plusses include: - Experience in cultural and/or social change - Ability to create storyboards, flowcharts, wireframes is welcomed. Also having an eye for visual design and fluency in digital design - Experience in sustainability topics (e.g., circular economy, corporate social responsibility, economic development) and/or related industries (e.g., fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, municipal services/utilities) - Experience working in management consulting and/or government advisory **Further details**: - This position will be based in Argentina.
