Embrace the chance to work in a collaborative environment that values diversity and fosters professional development.As a Vice President of Operational Risk Management in the Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk group, you will be a key player in securing our Asset Management business in Taiwan and potentially across the Asia Pacific. Your role will involve the creation and implementation of a comprehensive Risk and Control framework to shield the firm from operational mishaps. Your contributions will directly impact the firm's success and reputation as you collaborate with a diverse team dedicated to excellence and innovation.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the Operational Risk function for Asset Management in Taiwan and across Asia Pacific.Provide oversight and challenge risks, processes, and controls identified by the first Line of Defense.Engage with the business to enhance operational risk processes and support safe business growth.Independently assess operational risks and control environments, raising issues for remediation.Provide operational risk oversight in key governance forums and liaise with regulators as needed.Stay informed on industry news and regulatory developments to identify and mitigate risks.Determine and define the Operational Risk Monitoring and Testing program for the region.Liaise with stakeholders across all Lines of Defense on monitoring and testing activities.Assess Operational Risks for new business initiatives and determine pre-go live requirements.Provide timely and relevant information through reporting mechanisms like scorecards and dashboards.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsBachelor's Degree with at least eight years of experience in risk management, control management, or related fields.Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business processes.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective interaction with senior management.Ability to make independent decisions and work with limited supervision in a dynamic environment.Effective influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive change.Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of Asset Management business and products, including fixed income, equities, and investment management.Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsExperience in the financial industry, particularly in compliance and audit.Curiosity and interest in understanding business operations and risk management.Ability to design data visualizations to communicate complex ideas effectively.Familiarity with the Asia Pacific financial regulatory environment.ABOUT USJ.P.
