Plant Procurement Specialist

No Relocation Assistance Offered 154691 - Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina The **Plant Procurement Specialist** is responsible to solve service and quality problems for the plant, making sure to identify, implement and maintain the lowest possible total cost of supply strategies with the best service and quality for all materials required by internal customers. Support and implement the strategies developed by the Global Category Manager and the Division Purchasing Manager, will also support FTG generation and implementation. **Responsibilities**: - Measurement, communication and monitoring of indicators of On time Suppliers with the capacity to make proposals and implement action plans to improve them. - Responsible for purchasing key performance indicators (KPIs) and working with the local supply chain. - Implement and monitor the procurement budget for the specific materials for which they are responsible. - Optimize raw material and packaging materials inventories against Customer Service and working capital goals. - Ensure the highest level of service is provided to our customers through the development and maintenance of order replenishment best practices. - Interact with vendor sales, technical, and other functional groups, as well as other supply chain, technology, marketing, and finance functions to enforce purchasing policies, resolve issues, align service, and financial strategies. - Together with the new product team, ensure that new products are executed effectively. - Contribute to the local funding of FTG. (funding the growth) - Execute efforts in the use of "e-tools" (for example, Ariba) to help promote growth programs, simplification and standardization of financing. - Comply with and adhere to Colgate-Palmolive and government guidelines related to EOHS, quality, and regulations for responsible materials. Develop awareness and influence compliance with local government laws and regulations related to materials. - Maintain a behavior of continuous improvement, through training, information exchange, feedback, evaluations, delegation and the implementation of best practices. - Develop an informed understanding of the local market structure and its material drivers/variables, with an overview of risk management, and identify opportunities and threats for the future. - Continuously review the Risk Management program (4 times per year) of the key materials that are reflected in our Segmentation Map, and that are located mainly in the Bottleneck quadrant. Present progress at least twice a year to the Supply Chain Leader team. - Actively participate as Country Support in our ESM program for Supplier Audits and Sedex (SRSA) for Social Responsibility. Also coordinate the Contract Manufacturing needs that the business can generate and make the request based on the defined Supply Chain Procedure. **Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or business field (business administration, international business, economics, or related careers). Desirable specialization in finance/logistics or related. - Master´s Degree desirable. - 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain position. - Intermediate English level. - Management of SAP (MM) desirable. - MS Office or Google Suite proficiency.
