Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Global Services

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
- 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
- Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Experience with scalable networking technologies (e.g. Load Balancers, Firewalls) and web standards (e.g. REST APIs, web security mechanisms).
- Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenStack, Jenkins.
- Experience in system administration tasks in Linux, Unix, or Windows OS, and familiarity with standard IT security practices (e.g., encryption, certificates, key management).
- Understanding of open source server software (such as NGINX, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).

In this role, you will work with Google Cloud customers and Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features. With the team, you will support customer implementation of Google Cloud products through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, capacity planning, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a technical advisor to customers and solve complex cloud infrastructure and devops issues.
- Develop and optimize cloud migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure required to complete solutions.
- Work with customers, partners, and Google Product teams to deliver tailored solutions into production.
- Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
