**What you’ll be doing**
- **Accounting and Compliance**:

- Ensure accurate tracking of all company and intercompany transactions, managing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations.
- Responsible for month-end and annual closing, assisting the reporting and consolidation team, and analyzing month-to-month variations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory guidelines, and company policies, implementing necessary updates and ensuring adherence across the organization.
- Implement strong work procedures, ensuring organized documental support of all journal entries.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Work closely with other teams and external advisors, in order to ensure company objectives.
- Identify and implement special projects as needed to ensure the highest level of efficiency of accounting processes, data integrity, and the overall effectiveness of the organization.
- Support other divisions within financial matters.
- **Team Management and Development**:

- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Identify training and development needs within the team and facilitate relevant training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- **Process Improvement and Systems Enhancement**:

- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive automation initiatives and system enhancements to streamline financial reporting and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement new accounting systems or modules, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality.
- **Stakeholder Management**:

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, legal, compliance, and executive teams.
- Act as a point of contact for external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other relevant parties.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication of financial information.

**What you'll need**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. Master's degree in accounting preferred.
- Significant experience (7+ years) in accounting, currently working as accounting supervisor or manager preferably in the payment industry or a related field, prior Big 4 experience is highly valuable.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC filings).
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines with the ability to pivot and prioritize based on shifting business needs.
- Proven experience managing teams and driving performance excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with Oracle. ERP implementation experience is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data tools.
- Proficient in English.
