Aviation Security Officer

About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and dependable Aviation Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of airport operations in Sandton . This role is critical in protecting passengers, staff, and assets from threats, implementing stringent security protocols, and responding effectively to security incidents. You will be part of a dedicated security team working within a highly regulated environment, upholding the highest standards of safety and security in aviation. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines and other security equipment.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and patrol airport premises to detect and deter security breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security alarms and incidents, following established procedures.
- Enforce access control policies and procedures for restricted areas.
- Inspect cargo and mail for security compliance. Requirements
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid Aviation Security training certificate or be willing to obtain one.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
