Position Summary

AMB Sports + Entertainment has an opening for an IT Project Manager. The position will be primarily based in Atlanta, GA at the Mercedes Benz Stadium but will also work from other locations around Metro Atlanta as needed.

Become a part of a talented team of project managers and planners that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering on project goals and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. Qualified applicants will have an extensive background in IT, computer systems engineering, or information systems. Excellent communication skills are a must. Project management experience is a plus.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual who has a passion for this field of work and the ability to be a self-starter. This position will work very closely with other teams in IT, different departments, and vendors. Candidate will be working under the supervision of the IT Director over Project Management on managing project budgets, schedules, and requirements. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for understanding the project scopes, expectations, and requirements, evaluating the project progress and quality, reporting on the project status regularly, and identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Must be able to carry a cell phone and respond quickly to occasional requests for critical assistance (24/7). Working events at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium may be required on an operational rotation. This position may require this individual to participate in other operational rotations, such as on-call rotation and off hour implementations. Occasional travel could be required.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Work with leadership team to maintain, prioritize, and regularly report on overall IT project portfolio as well as top priority projects.
2. Work with supervisor to coordinate project activities on assigned projects.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT colleagues and key business stakeholders.
4. Design and implement project methodologies, strategies, and deliverables to be used by the whole IT organization.
5. Work closely with internal and external resources to understand the project scope, budgets, and requirements.
6. Monitor projects to track and evaluate the progress, quality, and risks. Suggest strategies to achieve project goals.
7. Schedule and participate in project meetings to discuss expectations, progress, and outcomes.
8. Develop project plans in consultation with IT colleagues and key business stakeholders. Manage resources effectively to stick to project budgets and plans.

Required Skills

1. This position requires a high-energy individual who has a passion for this field of work and the ability to be a self-starter.
2. Must be comfortable providing technical support at all levels.
3. Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
4. Must possess problem-solving skills as well as proficiency with analysis tools to identify, investigate, and resolve problems when they arise. Must also have a strong drive to develop and constantly update technical skills.

Qualifications/Expectations:

1. Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Previous working experience in project management in a technical discipline is strongly preferred.
3. Recognized project management qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not required.
4. Six Sigma certification would be a plus but not required.
5. In-depth knowledge of relevant project management resources and methodologies.
6. Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM and PPM modules a plus.
7. Decision-making and strategic thinking.
8. Problem-solving skills.
9. Technical proficiency in networking aspects of IT, as well as a general knowledge of Information Technology concepts.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with MS Project; knowledge of Gantt charts is highly preferred.
11. Excellent communication skills and ability to adequately present concepts and projects in meetings, presentations, and walkthroughs with external stakeholders.
12. Team player who can build lasting, productive relationships with coworkers and third-party contractors.
13. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
