About the job Tether and its affiliated entities (e.g. Bitfinex) seek an organized self‑starter to join our Regulatory & Licensing team. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in Argentina’s crypto‑asset regulatory framework and will help shape and execute regulatory strategy for the company in Argentina. The role reports directly to the Head of Regulatory Affairs & Licensing – Latin America and requires a senior professional with proven experience engaging with financial regulators, supervisory authorities, or policy‑making bodies. Responsibilities - Develop and execute regulatory strategies, identifying preferred markets and ensuring local implementation aligns with Tether’s Latin American objectives. - Advocate and collaborate with regulatory agencies, industry bodies and policymakers to shape the regulatory landscape for stablecoin issuers, attending public consultations, working groups and industry forums. - Analyze local regulatory proposals, advise on potential risks and opportunities, and produce concise policy briefs for senior management. - Support regulatory approval processes, coordinate documentation and responses to inquiries to secure necessary licenses. - Lead cross‑functional coordination with expansion, legal, compliance and finance teams to address emerging regulatory challenges. Qualifications - Minimum 5 years regulatory experience within the financial services or crypto‑asset industry (5–8 years preferred). - Deep knowledge of Argentina’s regulatory frameworks and ability to apply it strategically and operationally. - Proven diplomatic skills and experience managing complex stakeholder relationships. - Expertise preparing regulatory analysis, consultation responses and public policy submissions. - Experience working with regulatory authorities (central banks, supervisory agencies, ministries of finance) is strongly preferred. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and representing companies at regulatory discussions. - Strong team player, proactive, fluent in English and native proficiency in Spanish. - University degree required; an advanced degree in Law, Economics, Political Science or related field is preferred.
