JOB SUMMARY Manages a broad range of complex financial analysis and/or financial reporting activities to measure profitability for a region, line of business, or large, complex client.
Includes the management of such functions as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, strategic planning, and management reporting processes and work product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and standard management reporting processes.Establishes departmental priorities and ensures deadlines are met.Supervises finance staff including training and managing job performance.Reviews and approves balance sheet account analysis and statement of cash flows.Conducts special financial and business studies and produces routine and ad hoc financial reports.Participates in the research and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.Manages special projects and prepares presentations for senior management.Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides formal supervision to individual employees within a functional area.
Approves recommendations for recruitment, selection, promotion, and termination.
Plans and monitors staffing levels and prepares performance appraisals for staff.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a business-related field required.
Minimum of six years related experience, including at least two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Public accounting experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES CPA or MBA preferred, but not required (depending on experience).
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to apply excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information and transactions.
Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of real estate service industry terminology is helpful.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.
Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to the department.
