Cyber security is a critical aspect of modern business operations, and as a Junior Cyber Security Engineer at Cloud Counselage Pvt Ltd, you will play a vital role in protecting our digital assets from cyber threats.

About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled individual to join our team as a Jr. Cyber Security Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about cyber security and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Infrastructure Management: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection solutions, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Threat Monitoring and Response: Monitor security events and alerts generated by various security tools and systems, and respond promptly to potential security incidents or breaches.
  • Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify and address security weaknesses in our systems and networks.
  • Security Policy Development: Help develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard our data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
  • Incident Response: Contribute to incident response efforts by assisting in the investigation, containment, and recovery of security incidents and breaches.
  • Staying Informed: Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and proactively recommend security enhancements or countermeasures.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the design and development of new systems, applications, and services, and support security awareness and training programs for employees.
  • Compliance and Audit Support: Assist with security compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a cyber security role or related field (internship or entry-level positions).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common cyber security principles.
  • Familiarity with security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, antivirus software, SIEM solutions, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with security assessment tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, etc.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc.).
