Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Data Science Associate Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for developing advanced and efficient statistically effective algorithms that solve problems of high dimensionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Advanced Algorithms: Design and implement advanced algorithms that solve complex problems of high dimensionality.
  • Apply Statistical Techniques: Utilize technical skills such as hypothesis testing, machine learning, and retrieval processes to apply statistical and data mining techniques to identify trends, create figures, and analyze other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients and other stakeholders at ZS to integrate and effectively communicate data-driven insights.
  • Assess Emerging Datasets: Contribute to the assessment of emerging datasets and technologies that impact our analytical platform.
  • Develop Scalable Assets: Engage in the development of specific assets/accelerators that foster scalability.
  • Advance Thought Leadership: Contribute to advancing thought leadership through research support and publication assistance.
  • Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to Associate team members.
Requirements
  • Education: A PhD Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field, or a master's degree with 3-5 years of relevant post-collegiate work experience.
  • Academic Performance: A robust academic performance with coursework emphasizing analysis and quantitative skills.
  • Technical Skills: A knowledge of big data, advanced analytical concepts, and algorithms (e.g., text mining, social listening, recommender systems, predictive modeling, etc.).
  • Programming Language: A proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java/Python/R).
  • Tools and Platforms: Experience with tools/platforms such as the Hadoop ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, or database systems.
  • Agile Project Planning: A proficiency in agile project planning and project management techniques.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior leadership experience from a relevant position.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Additional Skills
  • Domain Knowledge: Relevant domain knowledge encompassing areas such as healthcare, transportation, technology, insurance, or related expertise/experience.
