Data Science Consultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced and efficient statistically effective algorithms that solve problems of high dimensionality.
  • Utilize technical skills such as hypothesis testing, machine learning, and retrieval processes to apply statistical and data mining techniques.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to integrate and effectively communicate insights.
  • Contribute to the assessment of emerging datasets and technologies that impact our analytical platform.
  • Engage in the development of specific assets/accelerators that foster scalability.
  • Contribute to advancing thought leadership through research support and publication assistance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

  • A PhD Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field, or a master's degree with 3-5 years of relevant post-collegiate work experience.
  • A robust academic performance with coursework emphasizing analysis and quantitative skills.
  • A knowledge of big data, advanced analytical concepts, and algorithms.
  • A proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Experience with tools/platforms such as the Hadoop ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, or database systems.
  • A proficiency in agile project planning and project management techniques.
  • Prior leadership experience from a relevant position.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Relevant domain knowledge encompassing areas such as healthcare, transportation, technology, insurance, or related expertise/experience.
