Job Description:
This role involves working closely with the finance team to support the transition to a new accounting system, assist in asset management, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Integration and Data Management: Assist in adding newly hired employees, customers, and vendors into the new accounting system and GP (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains).
- Mobile Unit Management: Assist in safeguarding and issuing of mobile units (e.g., phones, laptops) to employees, ensuring proper tracking and recording of assets.
- Asset Tracking and Accountability: Assist with the follow-up of assets with a "NEW" status in the Fixed Asset Management (FAM) system to ensure proper assignment and status updates.
- Accounts Receivable – Employee Support: Assist Accounts Receivable in recording monthly personal use of company assets in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
- Fixed Asset Reconciliation: Assist in the reconciliation of the MR (Material Receipt) and AFS PPE (Assets for Sale, Property, Plant, and Equipment) accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- System Testing and Support: Assist in parallel testing of the new accounting system, ensuring that fixed asset data is accurately migrated and functioning correctly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with fixed asset management, reconciliation, and accounting principles.
- Previous experience with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) or similar systems is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees, vendors, and the finance team.
- Experience with system migration or parallel testing is a plus.
