The responsibilities of this role include preparation and review of individual tax returns, analysis of individuals' tax situations, advice on tax strategies, and staying up-to-date on changes in federal, state, and local tax laws.
Responsibilities:- Preparation and review of individual tax returns (Form 1040 and corresponding schedules).
- Analysis of individuals' tax situations to identify optimization opportunities.
- Advice on tax strategies and applicable regulations.
- Staying up-to-date on changes in federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Performance of tax projections and payment estimations.
- Management of tax documentation and records for audits and reviews.
- Coordination with other teams (accounting, legal, payroll) to ensure the correct implementation of tax strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of the U.S. tax system, including federal and state laws.
- Previous experience in preparing individual tax returns (minimum of 2 years).
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., TurboTax, H&R Block, ProConnect, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a plus.
- Flexible work culture.
