Main Responsibilities:
- Cryptocurrency Accounting: Record and reconcile transactions involving various cryptocurrencies, ensuring accurate and timely financial data in accordance with accounting principles.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports detailing crypto asset holdings, gains, and losses, as well as generating financial statements that incorporate cryptocurrency transactions.
- Client and Outsourced Group Response: Be part of the team that responds to client inquiries and requests to ensure top-tier service is consistently provided.
- Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate reporting of cryptocurrency transactions for tax purposes.
- Auditing and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Risk Management: Monitor and assess risks associated with cryptocurrency transactions, developing strategies to mitigate potential financial risks.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, legal, and IT, to ensure alignment on crypto accounting practices, communicating complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or the equivalent in work experience.
- Proven experience in cryptocurrency accounting and financial analysis, with a strong understanding of blockchain technology and various cryptocurrencies.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, including QBO and other accounting software programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with stellar English communication skills (C1 & up ONLY).
