The Opportunity

As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of business processes and strategies in the supply chain, operations, and quality functional areas. You will be responsible for providing technical support for plant, regional, and global IT initiatives, including quality and laboratories, and engineering. Your expertise will be essential in conducting analysis of functional business processes and delivering structured documentation and presentations to all levels of management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as an IT liaison and business process expert in the areas of supply chain, operations, inventory management, lab systems, and quality.
  • Analyze business needs, validate solutions with clients, and work with local and regional IT to support critical aspects of the business.
  • Maintain focus on process analysis and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions and their relationship to the business and technical environment.
  • Collaborate with customers, staff, regional IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to support existing processes and technologies in the supply chain, operations, and quality areas.
  • Administer and support all laboratory computer systems, including LIMS/Labware, CDS/Empower, and standalone-computerized instruments.
  • Plan and execute validation of computerized systems, create and update IT SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Develop and support appropriate administration and master data maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver training modules for laboratory systems and act as a key site expert of laboratory processes.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of MES and OEE systems as required, with knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Collaborate with site and global Engineering to adopt standard systems and with global IT to support standards for network, remote access, and security.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related manufacturing industry and Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Enterprise Asset Management, and Costing functions.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, QC, and/or R&D laboratory practices in a pharmaceutical environment, including PC-based and standalone laboratory and manufacturing systems.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills, operational background, and working experience with infrastructure technologies and computerized laboratory analytical systems.
  • Experienced in providing technical solutions aligned with standards, security, validation, capacity, high availability, and identifying associated risks.
  • ERP Business, Manufacturing, and QA/QC IT Systems a plus, industry-related knowledge in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
