This position requires effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers. The Work You'll Do:This role involves facilitating basic SDLC meetings, leveraging process improvement methodologies, interacting with internal stakeholders and customers, and refining development tools. You will also lead junior developers, share technical knowledge, develop high-quality code consistent with Sovos conventions, and consistently identify impediments and play an active role in their resolution.
- Facilitate basic Sovos SDLC meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
- Utilize various process improvement methodologies to optimize workflows and enhance productivity.
- Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and customers regarding requirements, issues, and other matters.
- Lead junior developers on shared stories and tasks, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Refine and improve development tools, including IDEs, Jenkins, and Test Harnesses, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Share technical knowledge with team members to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Develop high-quality code consistent with Sovos conventions and accepted coding best practices, including design patterns.
- Draft designs and documentation for major functionality to ensure clear understanding and implementation.
- Triage and resolve most customer escalations independently, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
- Identify impediments and actively participate in resolving them to minimize delays and maintain project momentum.
- Help team members identify, elaborate, and solve problems to promote collective growth and expertise.
To succeed in this role, you will need relevant experience in a software development function, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to comprehend and communicate complex concepts effectively. Additionally, you should be able to concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problems, utilize technology to fulfill work requirements, and demonstrate initiative, drive, and determination to achieve results, success, and growth.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The estimated salary is within this range, considering the location and industry standards. Our benefits package includes mentoring programs, management bootcamps, yearly performance reviews, generous time off, and a comprehensive compensation structure.
