Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams and collaborating with attending physicians to provide high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have two years of radiology ultrasound specific college coursework or an Associates Degree/Diploma in a related field. RDMS Certification is required, and one additional modality within two years of hire is preferred. Current BLS certification is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transmit images to PACS accurately and efficiently.
  2. Schedule ultrasound cases to coordinate with other patient exams.
  3. Educate patients prior to scanning procedures, explaining the process and addressing their questions.
  4. Maintain written documentation as required by profession and department policy.
  5. Assist physicians in procedures such as needle biopsies and amniocentesis.
  6. Stay up-to-date with hospital policies, quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards.
  7. Position and transfer patients comfortably.
  8. Maintain equipment and supplies, including ordering and stocking when necessary.
  9. Pursue continuing education through workshops, seminars, and section staff meetings.
