Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine echocardiograms, evaluating cardiac function, and producing high-quality images of the heart.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all routine echocardiograms for evaluation of possible abnormal heart defects or disease (inpatient or outpatient).
• Work with a mentor to advance skills and develop independent judgment for additional imaging agents.
• Accurately complete charges for all exams performed in the EHR system and initiate preliminary reports in PACS.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred.
• Bachelors program in health science or graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound preferred.
• 1 year experience inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
• New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT) is required.
