Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Childcare/School Teacher to join our founding team at our new Montessori school in San Rafael, CA. As an Assistant Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the lead teacher and contributing to the development of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging and interactive lessons for students aged 3 months to 12 years.
  • Assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes independence, self-motivation, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in Montessori education.
Requirements
  • At least 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits or Child Development credits.
  • Experience working with children in a group setting, such as a preschool, daycare, or childcare.
  • Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with children and commitment to ongoing professional development.
