Job Summary

The Local Statutory Reporting (LSR) team at SAP SE is seeking a highly skilled accountant to join our team as a Financial Statement Preparer. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements for over 170 subsidiaries worldwide, working closely with external and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of financial statements under IFRS and local GAAPs, identifying and adjusting differences between accounting standards as needed.
  • Collaboration with Tax, Treasury, and Controlling teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Supporting the automation and standardization of financial statement preparation, aligning with SAP's strategy to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Providing expertise and solutions on complex topics like hyperinflation accounting, business combinations under common control, and consolidation.
  • Research and preparation of technical memorandums to address scenarios and support the rationale and accounting treatment for relevant topics.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with 4-6 years of experience in preparing and/or auditing financial statements.
  • Deep professional experience applying IFRS accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate positions clearly.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with additional languages a plus.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, knowledge of accounting-related functionalities in SAP ERP preferred.
