We are currently seeking a Java Backend Engineer. This role is fully remote and compensated in USD.
Project Overview
Become part of our forward-thinking team as we initiate a project aimed at optimizing our data utilization strategies. This initiative is centered on enhancing data platforms through effective integration between data processing systems and information hubs. Our objective is to derive insights into data generation, transformation, and application, ensuring that every phase is monitored, refined, and aligned with business objectives. This role involves collaboration with one of our esteemed clients, a leading job board with a presence in over 62 countries.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Flow Oversight: Monitor and manage the production and integration of data into information hubs, ensuring a seamless data lineage across the organization.
- Data Utilization Assessment: Analyze and evaluate data usage patterns to ascertain its value and necessity, making informed decisions regarding data formatting and application to optimize costs.
- System Architecture: Design and develop robust backend systems that enable efficient data processing and integration, applying best practices in software design to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Collaboration: Engage closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and information center managers, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Continuous Enhancement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions that enhance data management and operational efficiency.
- Java Proficiency: Strong expertise in Java programming with a comprehensive understanding of its ecosystem and best practices.
- Kafka Experience: Familiarity with Kafka from an application standpoint, including the development and maintenance of Kafka-based solutions.
- Spring Boot Expertise: Solid background in Spring Boot for creating microservices and enterprise-level applications.
- Version Control Skills: Proficient in Gitlab for version control and collaborative development.
- Software Design Acumen: Capable of crafting well-structured systems, grounded in software design principles and patterns.
