About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our data pipeline architecture in Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement optimal data pipeline architecture in Azure
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements to automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using Azure 'big data' technologies
  • Develop analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and key business performance metrics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • B.Tech/Computers/Information Science degree
  • Python/SQL development experience
  • Databricks & Shell experience
  • SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus)
  • Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
  • Experience on Azure & ADF
  • Strong designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems skills
  • Experience in creating bronze, silver, and gold architecture
  • Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
  • Demonstrated strength in data modeling and ETL development
  • Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on data engineering
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Mindset and analytical skills towards continuous improvement and a willingness to research the latest technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
  • Basic understanding of Machine Learning
