Role DescriptionThis is a challenging role that requires a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage global purchasing deliverables for unawarded and awarded programs. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing sourcing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of purchased components
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve program issues and meet project deadlines
- Analyzing purchasing costs and negotiating with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing
- Representing purchasing as a single point of contact/interface during critical program meetings
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing position in an international manufacturing company
- Excellent knowledge of purchasing processes and tools, including analysis of purchasing costs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Practical knowledge of project management principles and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
