At Little Green Apple Hallmark, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Leader to join our team. The Sales Leader will play a vital role in providing exceptional selling and customer service experiences that drive productivity and profitability for the store.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and hard-working, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. They will possess a strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Provide warm and inviting shopping environments, building relationships with customers and sharing expertise on products and promotions to meet their unique needs.
  • Sales Performance: Work closely with the corporate team to achieve sales goals, utilizing consultative selling skills to ensure each customer leaves with everything they need and a few things they didn't know they needed.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting product sets, and stocking products to ensure optimal store presentation.
  • Leadership Role: Share product knowledge, read and incorporate store communications, and manage daily tasks assigned by the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Minimum of one year of prior retail experience, sales, or customer service.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Eligibility: Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional Experience: Two or more years of experience in specialty retail, sales, or customer service.

  • Strong Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Adaptability: Strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to change.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency and comfort using a computer and other technology.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Standing & Walking: Must be able to continuously stand/walk, push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 pounds, utilize fine finger movement, and tactile/touch to assist with products/customers/registers/equipment/etc.
  • Bending & Climbing: Must be able to frequently bend at the waist, climb/work at heights, kneel, and squat, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds, and reach overhead with arms raised above shoulder height/forward reaching.
  • Lifting & Carrying: Must be able to occasionally balance on uneven surfaces/ground, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Communication: Must be able to continuously communicate with customers, co-workers, vendors, either in-person or over the phone, including speaking, hearing, and sight in order to assist customers.
