About The Position

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in our rapid growth by ensuring smooth operations and successful new market launches. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Team Oversight:
    • Direct a team of 4-5 internal operations staff and contractors. Provide regular feedback, conduct one-on-ones, and promote team growth.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Manage our Operations team to ensure that our markets are well-stocked, visually appealing, and achieving desired results (revenue + profit).
    • Actively monitor market issues (e.g. wi-fi outages, kiosk problems, equipment repairs, etc.) and ensure that the Operations team swiftly resolves them. Intervene on high-priority problems or those lacking a clear SOP.
    • Ensure that our team communicates efficiently with our boots-on-the-ground team members and provides necessary support.
    • Identify areas of our operating system ripe for improvement and collaborate with relevant team members to implement new SOPs and SOP changes.
  • New Market Launches:
    • Successfully onboard new properties and address key onboarding questions to maintain our new openings schedule on track.
    • Ensure we and our team are 100% prepared for new market openings.
    • Serve as the point of contact for the installation team as questions arise during the day.
  • Client Satisfaction & Expansion:
    • Explore innovative methods to boost revenue and profits.
    • Proactively guarantee our client establishes excellent relationships with its clients (large property managers and owners).
    • Aid expansion into other target properties within the client portfolio.
    • Respond promptly and adequately to any client inquiries or concerns.
    • Participate in business development meetings as the company's operations leader.
  • Merchandiser Success:
    • Evaluate and/or interview potential merchandisers.
    • Guarantee merchandiser satisfaction through frequent one-on-one sessions.
    • Coach merchandisers to work more efficiently and effectively.
    • Develop and maintain training materials for merchandisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of 4-5 operations staff and contractors.
  • Ensuring efficient operations and successful new market launches.
  • Resolving market issues.
  • Effective communication with boots-on-the-ground team members.
  • Improving the operating system.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in operations management, preferably in a startup or small business environment.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments requiring multitasking and problem-solving.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with technology, multiple tools and systems, quick on computers, and adept at handling complex workflows.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong Sense of Accountability: Directly responsible for outcomes in our small company.
  • High Motivation: Commitment to working hard.
